# Famulor Academy

> Hands-on courses from your first AI agent to enterprise operations — each with an exam and a verifiable certificate

The **Academy** is an interactive learning area inside the Famulor app. Its courses take you from how an AI agent works to running agents at scale. Every lesson is built around animations and things to do instead of reading, and every course ends with an exam and a certificate. Open it from **Academy** in the sidebar.

## Courses

| Course | Level | You learn | Certificate |
| - | - | - | - |
| **AI Voice Agent Foundations** | Level 1 · Beginner | How an agent listens, thinks and speaks, turn-taking, engines, prompt, greeting and voice, knowledge, tools, channels — then you test your agent and go live. | AI Voice Agent Builder |
| **Famulor Grand Tour** | Level 1 · Platform tour | Finding your way around, phone numbers and caller IDs with verification, audiences and campaigns, live monitoring, QA and usage. | Agentic Growth Navigator |
| **Agentic Workflows & Integrations** | Level 2 · Advanced | Your own API tools, conversation flows, automations before, during and after a call, and WhatsApp templates and calls. | Agentic Workflow Architect |
| **Trust, Privacy & Compliance** | Specialization | Consent, call recording and AI disclosure, opt-outs and quiet hours, data protection by design. | Responsible AI Guardian |
| **Global AI Rulebook: EU, US & Beyond** | Specialization | The EU AI Act, US calling rules and state laws, SMS registration (A2P 10DLC), GDPR and AI rules around the world. | Global AI Policy Strategist |
| **Agent Shield: AI Security for Voice & Chat** | Specialization | Prompt injection and how to defend against it, fraud, deepfakes and toll abuse, and a secure setup. | AI Agent Security Defender |
| **Famulor Loop: AI-Native Business Calling** | Specialization | The [Loop](/telephony/famulor-loop) business phone, ring groups, queues and routing, and handoffs between AI and people. | AI-Native Business Calling Expert |
| **Enterprise AI Operations** | Level 3 · Expert | Workspaces, roles and secure access, scaling with limits, regions, QA and versions, and integrating with API, MCP and the audit log. | Enterprise AI Operations Leader |

Both Level 1 courses are open from the start. The Level 2 course and all specializations open once you hold the **AI Voice Agent Builder** certificate, and **Enterprise AI Operations** opens after **Agentic Workflows & Integrations**. You can replay any lesson at any time.

<Note>
  The **Global AI Rulebook** course gives an overview as of October 2026. It is not legal advice — laws change, so check each market with your own advisor.
</Note>

The mascot coaches you through every step, and **Hint** helps when you're stuck.

## Practice chat

Lessons with a **Live** label let you talk to the agent you're building. The practice chat uses your current prompt, greeting, knowledge and tools, and replies like the agent would on a call. It does not create an assistant and does not use your workspace credits. Each person has a daily allowance of practice replies, which refills the next day.

In the last Foundations lesson you can create the agent as a real assistant in your workspace. From there you test and change it like any other [assistant](/assistants/overview); test calls use credits as usual.

## Exams and certificates

When all lessons of a course are done, its exam unlocks. The exam screen shows how many questions there are and how many correct answers you need. If you don't pass, the result shows which questions to review — retake the exam whenever you're ready.

Each certificate shows your name, the course, the issue date and a credential ID such as `FA-7K2M-Q9XD-3HTP`. You can:

* download it as an image or print it as a PDF
* add it to your LinkedIn profile
* share its public verification link, where anyone can check that it is genuine
* correct a typo in your name; the credential ID and date stay the same

Progress and certificates belong to your login, not to a workspace, so they follow you when you switch workspaces.

## Check progress with the API, MCP, CLI and SDK

Lessons and exams are completed in the app. Your progress and certificates are available programmatically with a personal API key or OAuth token: every course with its lessons, whether it is still locked, whether its exam is unlocked, and the certificate once earned. Workspace-wide service keys have no person attached and receive `403`.

  ```bash CLI theme={null}
  ```typescript SDK theme={null}
  const { data: academy } = await client.api.getAcademyProgress();
  for (const course of academy.courses) {
    console.log(`${course.title}: ${course.completed_lessons}/${course.total_lessons} lessons`);
    if (course.certificate) console.log(course.certificate.verify_url);
  }
  console.log(`${academy.certificates_earned} certificates`);

AI clients connected through [MCP](/mcp/overview) use the `get_academy_progress` tool. The [API reference](/api-reference/introduction) lists every field.
