# TTS providers

> What text-to-speech (TTS) is, which providers Famulor integrates, and where voices are hosted.

**TTS** (text-to-speech) providers are **voice libraries**: they let your assistants sound **natural and human-like**. Famulor integrates **three major voice providers** — **ElevenLabs**, **Azure**, and **Cartesia** — well-known options for AI voices.

Which provider you use is **your choice** — try a few and pick what fits your brand and use case.

## Choosing and extending voices

After you pick a provider (e.g. ElevenLabs), use **AI Voice** to **browse and select** from a **large catalog**. You can also **add voices via a link** from ElevenLabs when you want voices available there.
